Leonardo DiCaprio greets Pope Francis during a private meeting on Thursday (January 28) in Vatican City.
The 41-year-old Oscar nominated actor met with the Pope, 79, to discuss climate change and the impact we have on the planet, and how people can help protect the world from further harm.
Leonardo was accompanied for the meeting by his father George DiCaprio and the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation global fundraising chair Milutin Gatsby.
For years, Leonardo has been fighting to protect the planet, and 2015 was unfortunately the hottest year on record. His foundation recently donated $15 million to global efforts.
